BIOGRAPHY

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Social Work and have been a practicing psychotherapist since 1982. I have over 25 years experience helping those suffering from anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and a host of other psychological, emotional, and relationship concerns. My work draws from a background in cognitive psychology, neuro-psychology, family systems theory, psychodynamic theory, motivational psychology, sports psychology, and evolutionary biology.

I have a strong belief in keeping an active mind and body. My areas of personal interest, continued growth and activity include: writing, rock climbing, music and other creative arts, poetry, philosophy, basketball, classic literature, motorcycling, neuroscience, and human biology. My rich and varied life experiences continue to inform my work. These experiences have allowed me to appreciate and understand that there are many paths from which to choose and many ways to live a life.
